Grandpa Pick’s Beans

Grandpa Pick’s Beans

Cooking Time 4-6 hours; Yields 1 dozen

Ingredients
3-4 cans baked beans (15 oz cans)
1-2 cans dark kidney beans, drained (15 oz cans)
1-2 cans butter beans, drained (15 oz cans)
1-2 cans great northern beans, drained (15 oz cans)
1 purple onion, diced
1 kielbasa sausage, cut into disks
1/4 cup ketchup
1/4-1/2 bag brown sugar
2-3 jalapeños, seeded and left whole

Cooking Instructions

1. Add all ingredients to a large crock pot and cook on medium for 4-6 hours

2. Add about 2T of  corn starch mixed with 1/4 cup of water to thicken the bean mixture if needed (I personally almost always do this because I like my sauce to be thicker vs runny sauced beans)
3. Enjoy!!!

Hey y'all! I'm an ICU nurse by day and busy wife by night. Football consumes my life...my husband plays in the NFL so I'm always hosting our "football family" for dinner too. I'm obsessed with butter, my dogs, and tailgating. Welcome to my playbook for the kitchen!
