Alright, I haven’t had a weekly challenge in a while. My BIGGEST challenge to everyone throughout the holidays is to help others. You can simply help carry groceries for someone, pay a $1.50 toll for the person behind you, volunteer at a shelter, weed through all your over stuffed drawers and take cloths to Goodwill or Salvation Army, and many more.
I’m lucky enough to have the Jets Women’s Organization help plan out some of our good deeds. The weeks before Thanksgiving we helped serve lunch at Carter Burden Center For Aging in NYC, and served at a local Soup Kitchen in Morristown. During the holidays, especially these places, need extra hands and help. If you have the spare time, even if it’s 30 minutes, try to help your community.
Tanner and I have also adopted a little boy for the holidays. We hope to give him happiness and his mother a stress free holiday. Along with adopting a child we will also be going to the Apostle House in Newark for our 5th straight Christmas morning. Seeing the joy in all the kid’s eyes literally warms your heart. Here is some further information about the Apostle House if you feel like donating http://www.apostleshouse.org
On that note, safe travels and enjoy your family and friends for the holidays. God Bless!!!!
