- Yes, y'all I'm from Dodge City, KS. No it isn't made up. No, people don't just ride horses we do have cars (don't laugh a lady asked me that once). Yes Wyatt Earp was apart of my towns history, and you will even see glimpses of Boot Hill in a western movie (Tombstone, or heck even Wyatt Earp). But one of my favorite things to do when going back to Dodge City is to try all the new or old Mexican restaurants (restaurants or food trucks I don't discriminate).
- To be very honest...I make my mom stop by El Charro to pick up salsa when she comes to visit me. And as luck would have it, they started putting their salsa in glass jars. And when I say luck, I mean lucky for my mom because we used to use gladware containers and hope for the best while she was traveling!
- Ok, back to the food. I could literally drink the salsa. And when I visit I'm sure any waitress or waiter would agree with that statement. I also LOVE LOVE LOVE their enchilada delight. Don't waste your time with the small, go big and get the large. I also am a huge fan of their beef enchilada delight vs chicken.
- My other favorite dish is their taco salad. It comes out in a "shell" bowl filled to the brim with goodies. I also like to use their salsa for my dressing vs salad dressing. It is lower in calories and I personally think much tastier!
- If you are ever in southwest KS and need a pitstop I would defiantly suggest going to this gem. And truth be told, it is on non the less than...Wyatt Earp Street!
