Changing up your food "playbook"

Hash….The Best Meal to Help Clean Out Your Refrigerator

Hash

 

Cooking Time 30 minutes; Yields 2-4 people

Ingredients
1/2 onion, diced
1/2 green bell pepper, diced
1/2 red bell pepper, diced
1/2 poblano pepper, diced
3 andouille links, cubed
3 thick slices ham, diced
1/2 bag frozen hash browns
2-4 tbs butter
Salt/pepper to taste
1/8-1/4 tsp paprika (if you like spice add 1/4 tsp)
1 tsp garlic powder
2-4 eggs, over easy (dippy as my dad would say)
Franks hot sauce, garnish

Cooking Instructions
 

1. Place two sauté pans over medium heat and add butter to pans
2. Dice all veggies and proteins
3. Sauté meat in one pan and veggies in the other pan, salt and pepper veggies
4. Once potatoes are thawed add the hash browns to the meat pan, salt and pepper potatoes
5. Once the potatoes start to cook add veggies, paprika, and garlic powder
6. Continue to brown everything until crispy.
7. Place butter in a new sauté pan and fry eggs to top the hash
8. Plate and add franks for spice
9. Enjoy!!!
***TIP: you can use any veggies or meats that you have to use before they spoil, that’s the beauty of hash there are no rules!!!!
