Caffeine Free Winter Warm Drink….Warm Cup of Lemon and Honey

Warm cup of Lemon and Honey

Cooking Time 5 Minutes; Yields 1 cup

Ingredients
1/2 lemon; juiced
1-2 T honey
1 kettle filled with water; 1 cup when drinking

Cooking Instructions

1. Fill your kettle with water and place over medium high heat

2. While your kettle is warming cut a fresh lemon into wedges.  I cut pretty large wedges so my two wedges I use is about half a lemon.  Squeeze the juice into the bottom of your favorite mug
3. Add your honey to the bottom of your mug as well.  I like to use local honey because it is said to help with local allergies.  Think about it…local bees pollinate local flowers and that creates local honey.  It may be crazy talk but I will do anything to keep allergies at bay.
4. Hopefully by this point your kettle has started to whistle at you.  Pour the warm water into your mug and stir.
5.I hope you like this caffeine free, warm drink for those cold winter days.
***TIP: This is a great drink for women who are wanting to control caffeine intake while pregnant but still want the warm comfort drink during the cold seasons
6. Enjoy!!!
