Audible Eating is just that….changing up the playbook when it comes to cooking. Me personally, I strictly lived on peanut butter and jelly sandwiches six years ago before I married my husband. I could boil noodles, NOT boil eggs, and slap some meat on a sandwich and call it good. Tanner (my hubby) was my audible in daily eating. He inspired my want to learn more when it came to cooking.
I personally started with baking, because I’m extremely type A (thank you ICU nursing) and needed exact recipes. With the precise measurements I found success with baking which drove me to learn and develop into the cooking aspect of the kitchen. Yes, to this day I still measure things when cooking, especially with a new recipe or when creating one of my own.
On a personal note inside my life, I’m a midwest girl (Kansas) who moved to an east coast craze (New Jersey). My recipes range from quick fixes to crowd-pleasers. Quick fixes are for when I come home from a 12 hour ICU shift and I don’t have the time or energy to do it up big or really anything at all. My crowd-pleaser would be for the football crew my husband might bring home for “team dinner.” Also, it’s a nightly meal to keep my husband up to snuff in the weight category for the NFL (Yes he plays pro football, GO JET!). Almost all ingredients are fresh or organic foods that are packed with flavor.
I hope you enjoy Audible Eats and change your cooking playbook with me!!!
